“peace was never an option.”
— some idiot.
{personality}
Marked by pain, hatred, and war, Erik is a very angry individual. He often gets frustrated, doesn't trust easily, and can be prickly and extremely dramatic. He can also be polite, charming, and friendly, often putting on an act. Though he has many that he loves personally, he will not hesitate to harm them to enforce what he believes is a greater good. He's a passionate orator, driven, hard-working, and genuinely wants a better world for future generations.

{history}
He spent his childhood in Germany but his family moved in with his uncle Erich in Poland in the late 30s in attempt to escape being sent to a concentration camp. He was sent to Auschwitz where he was separated from his family, and under the stress of such a situation, awoken his mutant powers of magnetism and bent some large gates. Sebastian Shaw (pseudonym Klaus Schmidt) took notice and threatened his mother's life in order for Erik to demonstrate his powers. Subsequently, his mother was murdered and he was used as a human experiment.

Seventeen years later, he is shown in a hotel room having traversed Europe (and presumably other continents) in pursuit of Shaw to exact revenge. Coming up on a lead, he consequently left a trail of dead Nazis who escaped postwar persecution. Eventually, he was lead to Miami where a mutant named Charles Xavier was assisting the CIA in hunting Shaw as well.

Charles saves Erik from drowning in the Miami bay, and recruits him to the CIA where they go around the country recruiting other mutants in order to help them. During a party where the "kids" are bonding, Shaw kills a few agents, makes a plea to poach some of the children, and kills their friend Darwin.

The CIA base destroyed, Charles moves the remaining children back to his and his sister Raven's childhood home in Westchester, New York. There they all train and hone their powers in preparation for Shaw attempting to start World War III.

The whole team goes to Cuba where they stop Shaw, and where Erik and Charles kill him, but the naval armies are unaware that the danger has abated and are given orders to send missiles to the beach, effectively killing Erik, Charles, Raven, and all the kids. Angered, Erik uses his powers to point the missiles back at the ships and sends them, but Charles pleads with him to just drop them in the water. CIA Agent Moira Mactaggert attempts to distract Erik by shooting at him, and he accidentally deflects a bullet into Charles's spine, whereupon he lets go of the missiles and goes to attend to his ailing friend.

Charles refuses to join Erik's anti-human cause, and he takes everyone willing to come with him and disappears.

Erik becomes an activist/terrorist, and eventually works towards getting JFK to mention bettering mutant-human relations in a speech. However, before he can deliver the speech, JFK is assassinated and Erik, who failed again in his attempt to deflect the bullet, is convicted in his assassination. He escapes from jail a fair few times before they lock him in solitary confinement under the pentagon in a special underground bunker that isn't built with any metal.

In the meantime, Bolivar Trask has gotten a grant from the government to build large machines meant to detect and fight against mutants who are considered a threat to humans. In the far future of 2023, it turns out that he is too successful, and that the machines have evolved to kill not only mutants, but anyone who has the carrier gene for mutations, which is all humans. Trask's machines were imperfect and unable to adapt to other mutant powers before he captured and studied the nature of Mystique's (Raven's) power, so the living mutants in 2023 use their remaining powers to send Wolverine as an envoy to stop Raven from being kidnapped.

Wolverine convinces Charles to find Peter, a mutant whose power is superspeed, so they can spring Erik from jail and go find Raven. They do just that, but later it turns out that Erik's idea to prevent Trask from being able to kidnap Raven is to kill her. He shoots her in the leg and she manages to get away, as does he. He later discovers that Trask scraped her blood off the street and is studying it, so he has failed. He decides to go to Washington to murder Trask during his official unveiling of the Sentinel machines.

Erik uses the press at the event to send an international message to mutants that humans are the enemy and to join him, and then attempts to murder Trask and President Nixon. Raven and Charles stop him, and then let Erik escape. Though Trask is not killed, he is arrested, and the threat of Sentinels is removed. Wolverine is "no longer" in the past.

Raven is lauded as a hero for saving Nixon, and Erik (known as Magneto) is internationally hunted as an escaped terrorist. Still, Raven is the poster child for mutant relations, though within ten years she is disillusioned with the patina of progressiveness. Instead, she has gone underground to liberate mutants who are trafficked into cage fighting. Meantime, Erik is hiding out under the pseudonym Henryk Gorski, in a small town in Poland where he works in a steel manufacturing company and lives with his wife Magda and daughter Nina. Nina is also a mutant who seems to be able to feel empathy with and control forest animals.

While on assignment in Egypt, Moira Mactaggert accidentally awakens the mutant Apocalypse, whose power is to absorb the powers of any mutants he possesses, and who takes over the bodies of his next host as well. Apocalypse's awakening causes a giant magnetic rupture. Erik, who is working at the time, saves a coworker from being crushed by a giant vat of melted metal, but he does so with his powers.

Because of this, he goes home and tells his wife they must run, and they go to find their daughter. The policemen are in the woods where they hold Nina hostage, and ask if Erik is Magneto. He explains that he is Henryk, and to let his daughter go. When they refuse, he turns himself in in exchange for her safety, and attempts to go with them quietly. However, Nina is scared and commands the birds to attack her father's captors, and the policemen distractedly kill Nina and Magda. Distraught, Erik kills the policemen, and then goes to the factory to kill his coworkers as well.

Apocalypse comes in during this scene to recruit Erik, who goes with him willingly on the promise that he will get revenge on all humans. Apocalypse chooses Charles as a host because he has never possessed a telepath, and desires his power. Erik helps to kidnap Charles, not knowing the process by which Apocalypse will take his power, which causes a large explosion that destroys the entire mansion and alerts Stryker, an anti-mutant military official.

Stryker kidnaps the adult mutants, and then some of the kids who escaped board onto the helicopter in order to help the adults. Stryker takes them to a hidden base where they have a completely superfluous scene of freeing now-past Wolverine, and then spring the adults free.

Meanwhile Erik is in Cairo attempting to help Apocalypse destroy Earth. With Apocalypse's help and the power of his anger, Erik's destructive power can reach the entire globe. The mutants who were at the military facility come and fight with Apocalypse's other recruited horsemen, and Raven and Peter try to reason with Erik to get him to stop. Eventually, Apocalypse threatens to overtake Charles's body, which finally gets Erik to join in the fight against Apocalypse. Eventually Charles gets Jean Grey to awaken her phoenix powers and destroy Apocalypse.

Later, Erik helps rebuild Charles's manor. When he is finished, however, he leaves.

{GAME HISTORY}
Erik first appeared in August of 2015, though there was a previous iteration of him that had founded Xavier Academy with Charles. He discovered quickly that there were many other universes and other versions of himself, as well as the fact that in most iterations, he is infamous as an older man. The other characters who know versions of him seem to judge him based on this older Erik, so he tries to figure out exactly what "he" did and how to prevent it.

Originally, he lived in Nonah #4 with a rotating cast of roommates, and worked retail at Fedorable, selling hats. He believed that the stay from the Porter would be temporary, as the "oldest" imPort seemed to be Tony Stark, at five years.

Russia kidnapped a hundred imPorts, including Billy Kaplan, and Erik went to Antarctica in an effort to save them. In order to learn Russian, he exchanged services with Gregor Vorbarra, promising that he would find and rescue Miles Vorkosigan. He did so with Tex, and they were returned relatively unharmed.

Relatively shortly after that, Russia sent the imPorts to mandatory training, where Erik believed that they were honestly trying to start a war.

Sliding back into his tendencies to believe the American humans wouldn't come to their aide in a war, or would come to resent them, he started making plans to fight. During this time, there was a fluctuation where some imPorts were brought in from alternate timelines, and his older version (the one who sent back Wolverine to stop the Sentinels) replaced him for a week. During that time, Superior Iron Man tried to recruit him, and he had a heart-to-heart with Charles about how to repair their strained relationship.

During this time, he accompanied Walker to the pet shelter, where he adopted a legless puppy named Rochester and built him prosthetic limbs. Shortly after, he was given a gift of a bird that Kavinsky had created during the timeline-swap, and no longer wished to keep. This bird is named Lenore.

Then Erik was canon updated to post-Apocalypse, and so he decided to move in with Charles as he believed this time he could do the most good by staying as requested. He also decided to forgo preparing for the war, and instead help Charles in his efforts to begin the Maria-Francis Foundation, established to support imPorts and improve imPort-human relations.

In September, Erik completed construction of the Foundation building, and they threw a Renaissance Faire to celebrate its opening. Shortly thereafter, it was revealed that Superior Iron Man never left Tony, and he had made an app to force powers onto the non-powered, so that they would either have to accept powered individuals, or be "other" themselves. The fallout caused the destruction of Superior Iron Man, and strained relationships with now-regular Iron Man.

Meanwhile, Erik celebrated the holidays with Jaime and their families, who helped him get his job and works with him at the garage.

After that, there was a blackout and Erik was stuck at Stark Tech for 48 hours with Tony and Mikhail Meiers, as there was a breakout at the various prisons. After he got out, he pulled a car off of Kavinsky and traveled to various cities trying to capture the escaped prisoners who were looting or causing violent crimes.
