In case you needed to imagine what Erik looks like that may be indiscernible from the icons. This post mostly exists to keep track of the way his look changes while at The Box!
BODY
6' flat, fit/cut, v-shape with a very thin waist, long. Carries himself fluidly, keeps a neat, short haircut, stright to wavy, deeply parted. Medium-to-dark brown hair, light blue-green eyes. Has a small tattoo of "214782" on his left forearm, 3-4" above the wrist.
STYLE
X-Men First Class costume designer has this to say about Erik's warddrobe (GQ Interview): "This character is a joy to dress because he's James Bond, in one sense. He has the perfect outfit for every situation. Money is no object; whatever he needs, he gets. If he weren't in a suit, he'd be in a polar neck or that kind of Jack Kerouac kind of easy clothing. When you look at the early Bond films, you've got those short-sleeve, fine knitted '60s tops and a pair of trousers, but they just look fantastic. We did a lot of research into images of things in Dr. No and bits and pieces of Thunderball and Goldfinger. Those early ones. And we looked at how Bond uses clothing in each situation and it's always absolutely perfect for the day or the evening or whatever. The other film we referenced for Magneto and Charles Xavier, was The Thomas Crown Affair. [Director] Matthew Vaughn was very keen on the way that Steve McQueen dresses in that because he has very particular tailoring in that—which actually is not right for the period in this film."
CHANGES
At the beginning of january, he had a crazy ginger beard.

FASHION

He seems to prefer short boots for shoes (probably for walking ease), brown leather jackets, and shirts that err toward tight if at all. He also likes dark turtlenecks, which are actually a staple of beatnik culture, especially when paired with his ultra-retro browline sunglasses. What a hipster.
He very much likes purple and red. When he is dressing for himself and not to impress, he puts on a ridiculously dorky hat and a cape. But seriously Erik, those colors do not go together at all, thank you.
Erik's hair is always neatly combed and generally he gives off the idea that he cares at least a little bit about his appearance.
In Days of Future Past, he's so far seen wearing lighter and brighter colors, wearing clothes that are very unfortunately on-trend for the 1970s. Not that I mind denim chambray shirts Erik, but why did you wear maroon polyester pants?
