Timeline

First Class

1931 Born. Parents named Edie and Jakob. Named after uncle (Erich).
1940s Moved to Poland to escape Nazi-occupied Germany.
1940s Family captured, sent to Auschwitz. Erik forced to display his powers while his mother is held at gunpoint. She is killed. He is captured and his powers are studied.
1945 Erik is liberated from Auschwitz and starts a hunt for Schmidt (now aliased Shaw), his mother's murderer.
1962, early Lead by sources to Miami where Shaw has started up The Hellfire Club with several mutants. Also suspected of highly illegal activities by the CIA. Erik joins the CIA to gain information about Shaw, stays to find and mentor young mutant children, befriends Charles Xavier and Raven Darkholme.
1962, Cuban Missile Crisis Discover that Shaw intends to start World War III, are sent to fight him. Once Shaw is disposed of, navies of both intended targets (US and Cuba) are ordered to kill all the mutants indiscriminately. Erik tries to blow up both navies with their own guns, is distracted by Charles getting shot. Forms The Brotherhood of Mutants and escapes the beach.
1962, late Adopts moniker "Magneto," frees telepath Emma Frost from jail.
1963 Brotherhood of Mutants politically active. Erik convinces JFK to give a speech about mutants and humans coexisting.
1963, November 22nd JFK is shot. Erik attempts to save him but due to the bullet's trajectory, is suspected of his murder.
1964, early Erik is convicted of JFK's assassination, sentenced to life in a secure prison under the Pentagon.
